Topic Description: Presentation will be an overview of what healthcare facilities directors and or building owners are faced with regarding the new CMS (Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services) directive that came out last year. This will be a focus on the domestic water system design of a healthcare building. We will review the directive and see how the ASHRAE 188 legionella guideline and the CDC 7-step blueprint can assist in a domestic water design.

Tim is the Technical Manager Great Lakes Region for Armstrong International. Armstrong International is a family owned company located
in Three Rivers, Michigan. Armstrong International is a global leader in system solutions for steam, air and hot water. Tim started with the company 23yrs ago as the pressure reducing valve system specialist. The last 15 years Tim has been tasked with marketing the hot water generators and water temperature controls. These products include the steam instantaneous heater, the Flo-Rite Temp. and Digital Flo heaters as well as the ASPE 2010 “Industry Innovation” Award Winner, “The Brain” Digital Mixing valve. Tim was recently been re-assigned to be the Technical Manager to work with Merlo Energy and their engineers both in Michigan and Ohio. Tim is an active member of ASHRAE and ASPE and has presented at a number of lunch and dinner gatherings throughout the
