Western Michigan Chapter Awards received at CRC

This year’s Region V CRC (Chapters Regional Conference) was held in Dayton, Ohio. The Western Michigan Chapter is one out of twelve chapters located in Region V. Each year all twelve chapters meet for three days to attend business meetings for society, regional and chapter operations, caucus sessions for the nominations of society and regional positions and officers, officer and committee chair training workshops, awards lunch to reward chapter’s for their outstanding efforts, a technical tour, annual banquet and much more.

There are the twelve chapters that represent Region V; Akron, Central Indiana, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Detroit, Evansville, Fort Wayne, Northern Indiana, Toledo and Western Michigan. Each year it is the responsibility of a chapter to host CRC. Next year it will be hosted by the Northern Indiana Chapter. Western Michigan is scheduled to host CRC in 2019. Below are the awards received by our Western Michigan Chapter at this year’s CRC:

Presidential Award of Excellence, Special Citation
This award was presented to our chapter for significant improvement in membership, attendance, research promotion, education, chapter programs and technology for last season.

Blue Ribbon Award for Membership Promotion Award
This award was presented to Marika Hawes Ruhrup for her outstanding work with membership promotion. This award is given to the chapter, in the region, with the highest PAOE points in the category of membership promotion.

Chapter Service Award
This award is presented by Region V and ASHRAE Society to Adam Doubblestein in recognition of the activities and contributions of his work at the chapter level.

GGAC Majority Whip Award
This award was presented to Adam Doubblestein acknowledging his outstanding performance and dedication to duty serving our chapter as the Grassroots Government Advocacy Chair.

Full Circle Chevron/High Five Chevron/Special Citation/Honor Roll 2015-2016 & Challenge Goal Awards
Research Promotion Awards in recognition of Mike Boyd’s outstanding work in exceeding the goals set forth by ASHRAE, in the dollars raised, for Research and Promotion.

Region V Technology Awards
Technology awards recognize outstanding design innovations and successful achievements by members and their companies in Region V.
